merc's lessons. Things to be mindful of:
1. Sun protection
2. Hydration
3. Fuel (bananas)
4. Approaching the sea
5. Staring at the Ocean
6. What are waves?
7. What is sand?
8. Where do waves come from?
9. What is the tide doing?
10. What is the wind doing?
11. Breathing
12. Where is my mind?
13. Never run into the sea. Walk on sand in seawater with a pronounced thump, stingrays sense you coming and disappear.

F&S are on The Goldie. I asked them if they had been to the sea.
Too many shark attacks they said.
A marine scientist said last week that it's important to remember that more Strayans are killed by domestic animals than by sharks.
I'm off to Coogee for sunrise again.
Sharks are fine, but for us, very archetypal.
Got some fatal shark attack stories from them, particularly Bull sharks taking people in the estuaries.
Very territorial apparently and known to follow no other pattern than, if I'm around I'm going to go ya.
Personally I can stand calm estuary water.
Gads, that should be can't...
I think some of what were estuaries in Qld now have marina/housing developments on them. People live on canals that sharks cruise through. There are stories of household pets going missing in what looks like benign water.
